The White Lady

Part of one of the collaborations I did with Poet, Nancy Takacs, The White Lady design is based on a petroglyph near Willow Creek, UT. In the poem accompanying this work, Nancy referred to a ghost story from another another local canyon. The "white lady" is an apparition that haunts the canyon. Women were considered bad luck in the coal mines at the turn of the last century. The local story is that the white lady heard of her husband's death in a mine and went in to find him. She was lost as well, but her ghost remains to walk the mountain sides on lonely winter nights.
